1 υπολαβων δε ελιους λεγει
ַיַּ֥עַן אֱלִיה֗וּ וַיֹּאמַֽר׃
Elihu spoke moreover, and said,
2 τι τουτο ηγησω εν κρισει συ τις ει οτι ειπας δικαιος ειμι εναντι κυριου
ֲ֭זֹאת חָשַׁ֣בְתָּ לְמִשְׁפָּ֑ט אָ֝מַ֗רְתָּ צִדְקִ֥י מֵאֵֽל׃
Think you this to be right, that you said, My righteousness is more than God's?
3 η ερεις τι ποιησω αμαρτων
ִּֽי־תֹ֭אמַר מַה־יִּסְכָּן־לָ֑ךְ מָֽה־אֹ֝עִ֗יל מֵֽחַטָּאתִֽי׃
For you said, What advantage will it be unto you? and, What profit shall I have, if I be cleansed from my sin?
4 εγω σοι δωσω αποκρισιν και τοις τρισιν φιλοις σου
ֲ֭נִי אֲשִֽׁיבְךָ֣ מִלִּ֑ין וְֽאֶת־רֵעֶ֥יךָ עִמָּֽךְ׃
I will answer you, and your companions with you.
5 αναβλεψον εις τον ουρανον και ιδε καταμαθε δε νεφη ως υψηλα απο σου
ַבֵּ֣ט שָׁמַ֣יִם וּרְאֵ֑ה וְשׁ֥וּר שְׁ֝חָקִ֗ים גָּבְה֥וּ מִמֶּֽךָּ׃
Look unto the heavens, and see; and behold the clouds which are higher than you.
6 ει ημαρτες τι πραξεις ει δε και πολλα ηνομησας τι δυνασαι ποιησαι
ִם־חָ֭טָאתָ מַה־תִּפְעָל־בּ֑וֹ וְרַבּ֥וּ פְ֝שָׁעֶ֗יךָ מַה־תַּעֲשֶׂה־לּֽוֹ׃
If you sin, what do you against him? or if your transgressions be multiplied, what do you unto him?
7 επει δε ουν δικαιος ει τι δωσεις αυτω η τι εκ χειρος σου λημψεται
ִם־צָ֭דַקְתָּ מַה־תִּתֶּן־ל֑וֹ א֥וֹ מַה־מִיָּדְךָ֥ יִקָּֽח׃
If you be righteous, what give you him? or what receives he of yours hand?
8 ανδρι τω ομοιω σου η ασεβεια σου και υιω ανθρωπου η δικαιοσυνη σου
ְאִישׁ־כָּמ֥וֹךָ רִשְׁעֶ֑ךָ וּלְבֶן־אָ֝דָ֗ם צִדְקָתֶֽךָ׃
Your wickedness may hurt a man as you are; and your righteousness may profit the son of man.
9 απο πληθους συκοφαντουμενοι κεκραξονται βοησονται απο βραχιονος πολλων
ֵ֭רֹב עֲשׁוּקִ֣ים יַזְעִ֑יקוּ יְשַׁוְּע֖וּ מִזְּר֣וֹעַ רַבִּֽים׃
By reason of the multitude of oppressions they make the oppressed to cry: they cry out by reason of the arm of the mighty.
10 και ουκ ειπεν που εστιν ο θεος ο ποιησας με ο κατατασσων φυλακας νυκτερινας
ְֽלֹא־אָמַ֗ר אַ֭יֵּה אֱל֣וֹהַּ עֹשָׂ֑י נֹתֵ֖ן זְמִר֣וֹת בַּלָּֽיְלָה׃
But none says, Where is God my maker, who gives songs in the night;
11 ο διοριζων με απο τετραποδων γης απο δε πετεινων ουρανου
ַ֭לְּפֵנוּ מִבַּהֲמ֣וֹת אָ֑רֶץ וּמֵע֖וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם יְחַכְּמֵֽנוּ׃
Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth, and makes us wiser than the fowls of heaven?
12 εκει κεκραξονται και ου μη εισακουση και απο υβρεως πονηρων
ָׁ֣ם יִ֭צְעֲקוּ וְלֹ֣א יַעֲנֶ֑ה מִ֝פְּנֵ֗י גְּא֣וֹן רָעִֽים׃
There they cry, but none gives answer, because of the pride of evil men.
13 ατοπα γαρ ου βουλεται ο κυριος ιδειν αυτος γαρ ο παντοκρατωρ ορατης εστιν
ַךְ־שָׁ֭וְא לֹא־יִשְׁמַ֥ע ׀ אֵ֑ל וְ֝שַׁדַּ֗י לֹ֣א יְשׁוּרֶֽנָּה׃
Surely God will not hear vanity, neither will the Almighty regard it.
14 των συντελουντων τα ανομα και σωσει με κριθητι δε εναντιον αυτου ει δυνασαι αινεσαι αυτον ως εστιν
ַ֣ף כִּֽי־תֹ֭אמַר לֹ֣א תְשׁוּרֶ֑נּוּ דִּ֥ין לְ֝פָנָ֗יו וּתְח֥וֹלֵֽל לֽוֹ׃
Although you says you shall not see him, yet judgment is before him; therefore trust you in him.
15 και νυν οτι ουκ εστιν επισκεπτομενος οργην αυτου και ουκ εγνω παραπτωματι σφοδρα
ְעַתָּ֗ה כִּי־אַ֭יִן פָּקַ֣ד אַפּ֑וֹ וְלֹֽא־יָדַ֖ע בַּפַּ֣שׁ מְאֹֽד׃
But now, because it is not so, he has visited in his anger; yet he knows it not in great extremity:
16 και ιωβ ματαιως ανοιγει το στομα αυτου εν αγνωσια ρηματα βαρυνει
ְ֭אִיּוֹב הֶ֣בֶל יִפְצֶה־פִּ֑יהוּ בִּבְלִי־דַ֝֗עַת מִלִּ֥ין יַכְבִּֽר׃ פ
Therefore does Job open his mouth in vain; he multiplies words without knowledge.
